Project Tiger: We all know that our government is spending lot of money in order to conserve tigers but what’s the outcome….
We will not be able to see the outcome until people are educated about the same. I don’t understand one thing why government doesn’t allow Tiger farming the way it can be done in country like South Africa. Once cubs grow up they can be released in the forest. More than anything else I think it’s about the will to conserve them. If government allows me I’ll be more than happy to do the job. I don’t need money I just want government to provide me two abundant tiger cubs a male and a female from different parents, a restricted area in the forest where human beings are not allowed to enter and the required stuff like required food and medicines along with facility of a vet to reach the site within 30 min. I bet I can grow them and breed them. As per NTCA’s (National Tiger Conservation Authority) statistics and census done in 2006 there were 1411 tigers in our country out of that 66 tigers were killed during year 2009 alone. You can imagine how long we will be able to see them.
I know our government will not appreciate the idea as everyone wants to play safe; no one wants to take risk but my dear friends No Pains no gains. Our Government doesn’t have problem in spending money as it’s not the money of our beloved politicians, it’s the money of we tax payers. I hope somehow this idea reaches to our Indian Government and they think about it and do the needful.
I would request all tiger lovers to spread this link to as many people as possible so that somehow it reaches to someone who can really make some change in this regards. Please help towards this Nobel cause.
